I played Player 2.4 against itself, 1-ply vs 0-ply, to check the performance improvement of looking ahead.
In 10k cubeless money games, 1-ply scored +0.11ppg +/- 0.01ppg and won 53.7% +/- 0.5% of the games against 0-ply.
I also played 1-ply against PubEval. In 10k cubeless money games it scored +0.56ppg +/- 0.01ppg and won 69.1% +/- 0.5% of the games.
